Meet the Students’ Association Community Relations Officer

Posted on

Students and residents in St Andrews may sometimes seem as if they inhabit parallel universes, but St Andrews Students Association is determined to break down barriers between town and gown. With HMOs on the political agenda and the threatened closure of the out-of-hours service at St Andrews hospital, students and residents have been discovering they have more in common than they thought.

Morgan Morris is the Association’s specially appointed Community Relations Officer. An ex-Waid Academy pupil, the second-year student was elected to his post in March of this year. He sits on the Students’ Representative Council (SRC) and Students Services Council (SSC), as well as the Executive Committee while also sitting on St Andrews Community Council.

He’s just run an event-packed Community Relations Week which has brought town and gown together in new ways.
