Having just walked around St Andrews I am disgusted by the state of the streets. Market Street is particularly dirty. Outside Sainsbury the pavement is filthy; outside Cromars Chip Shop the pavement has a layer of grease; outside Dominoes Pizza the drain is blocked and there is stagnant water in the gutter….thank goodness for a mask as the smell was terrible. Does nobody clean the pavements? It is only the beginning of summer so goodness knows what it will be like when the visitors arrive. I came back and tried to contact Fife Council but it is almost impossible to find the right department.
