Examining the facts behind the issues
The Community Council comprises 20 elected members, who must be residents of St Andrews; three elected members of the Students’ Association; a variable number of nominated and co-opted members who are advisory (non-voting); plus the four Fife councillors for St Andrews (ex officio and non-voting); all representing a population of 17,000 people, of whom over 8,000 are students.
There is a formal meeting once a month, usually on the first Monday evening at 7 pm, in the Burgh Chambers of the Town Hall. The monthly agendas and the previous meeting’s minutes are posted on the web just before each meeting.
