20th May: Covid remains officially supressed throughout NE Fife

In the 7 days ending on the 18th May, the overall infection rate in Fife was 36.1, up from 28.1 per 100,000 the previous week.  This compares with the rate for Scotland as a whole of 39.1 per 100.000. As  during the previous 7 days, Covid-19 infection was officially supressed throughout NE Fife, including all St Andrews neighbourhoods  (0-2 per 100. 000).

There have been no Covid-19 deaths reported in Scotland since the 14th May.

On the 20th May, there were less than 5 cases in hospital in Fife (<5 since 02.05.21) and  less than 5 cases in intensive care  (there have <5 since 17th February).

The latest update by St Andrews University on the 20th May reported 1 new case of Covid-19, a student, since the 13th May. The total  (students plus staff) since 1st September 2020 is 221.
