The reason for the measures proposed by the council are because we are facing a very serious pandemic which is by no means over. it is essential to maintain space for walking as the traffic builds up and this is the reason fortifying to reduce traffic: the numbers of people in the town will increase very rapidly over the summer as tourists and then 8000 students come back and this will be good for business - but very bad for health if they are forced to use narrow pavements. The families and young children who have been cycling in the town will be forced off the streets if the traffic is as bad as predicted - is this really the future we want?

The best use of money to help cyclists would be to fix the roads leading to St Andrews
Pot holes, raised manholes and uneven road surfaces are the most dangerous aspect of to cycling.
Does no one think about how this will affect businesses already under severe pressure.
Pedestrianisation will only work where adequate parking close to the town centre is provided.
We are NOT a massive city and Do Not need a measure like this to solve a non existent problem.
Don’t Put Shops Out Of Business
At least speak to All shops Involved
I know of None that have been approached or spoken to
